Accounting: TVA

Heidi Dehaes - Olagos
Hello,

I see that the TVA which is added to the total amount to pay by the
customer, is in percentage around 19,6 %.

Although i entered 21 % in the rule for TVA adding.

I think there must be anywhere an error in the code?

Has someone experience with this?

thanks in advance,
Heidi

Please provide more details, such as everything in the cart/order you
are looking at including all items, adjustments, etc.

Re: Accounting: TVA

Heidi Dehaes - Olagos
In ofbiz you have the possibility to enter a rule for TVA taxes.
You can choose that it is added to the total amount of the order.

However i entered in the TVA rule that the tax rate is 21 %.
But in reality it counts something between 18 and 19 %.

What is the reason and how to solve?

So i gave in:
- type:   TVA et taxes assimilées
- Store ID: ********
- Category: -
- Eigendomsoverdracht: Destination
- Min Item Price: 0
- Min Purchase : 0
- Tax Shipping: Y
- TAX PERCENTAGE : 21
- From Date: ......
- Thru Date: -
- Description: TVA
You can also look to my site and try to buy something. You will see in the
checkout at the end before you go to paypal that the calculation is not
exactly what it should be.

thanks,
Heidi

The details of the order or cart to show the details of the results
you are describing would be more helpful than describing how you got
to them.

Re: Accounting: TVA

Heidi Dehaes - Olagos
For example:

I buy the product: 140000 - Layla 1 - 32 cm: for the price of 19,97 euro.
Cart Total:  19,97 euro

I do a "checkout" and pass further on to "How shall we ship?":
Further with "How shall you pay?" (with PayPal)
Then i come to the "Final Checkout Review":
There is mentioned:
Product:          140000 - Layla 1 - 32 cm
Qty Ordered:   1
Unit Price:       16,50 euro
Shipping and Handling: 6,00 euro
Sales Tax:       4,41 euro
Grand Total:    26,91 euro

21 % tax or TVA on (16,50 + 6 euro's) is 4,725 euro
and not 4,41 euro.

There is the problem !

Re: Accounting: TVA

Heidi Dehaes - Olagos
Hi again,

It is solved.
The problem is that my name and address used for the purchase are put on
France temporarily.

In the database in the TaxAuthorityRateProduct table there are three records
with
no productStoreId filled in. So they count for each Store.
And these ones have TaxAuthGeoId = FRA
When i changed the country of my address with which i did the purchase, to
Belgium, the problem was solved. The tax was calculated with exactly 21 %.

So solution is to delete for sure these three records in the
TaxAuthorityRateProduct  table which don't point to any special
ProductStoreId.

To be clear : this only comes from your own data, there are no such default configuration OOTB (I just checked)

Re: Accounting: TVA

Heidi Dehaes - Olagos
No, i think it was installed automatically.
But i used ofbizNeogia before and converted the database and upgraded to
ofbiz4.0.
That is the reason.
