Affiliate promotion

Hi there, we have a requirement where I need to setup a promotion for an affiliate site and I can't find any documentation on how to set this up.  Here is how it has to work,

1. I need to create a promotion in ofbiz that is amount off of product X
2. Promotion should only be applied to the user's order if they navigate to our site from the affiliate site

The ideal scenario would be to just associate the promotion with the marketing campaign we setup for that affiliate however I do not see anything for associating promotions to marketing campaigns.

I am aware that I could just create a promotional code and have the affiliate specify that code on their site but we would rather have the promotion take affect by the user just clicking the link and landing on our site.

If there is nothing out of the box to associate a promotion with a marketing campaign, is there an OOTB option for specifying a promotional code in the url and having the landing page automatically apply that code to the users order (even though the product is not in the order)?

I am running ofbiz 9.04.

Hi Micheal,

The requirement you mentioned may require a development effort. This can be achieved on linking the marketing campaign to the promotion module involved in catalog manager.

Also,can you please share me how you have made marketing campaign setup for an affiliate using OFBiz and how to create a promotional code and have the affiliate specify that code on their site to aplly promotion.
