Wouldn't it be smarter to organize our own conference? Would be great
to meet people involved and share experiences ouside the context of
this mailing list. And at a fraction of the cost of ApacheCon.

I think that organizing it at the ApacheCon is better because it is a good way to get in direct connection with other communities of the ASF.

Definitely! I think it's good promotion and marketing for OFBiz in general plus it can help attract new users. Ruth and I would be keen to do some of the sessions.
