I'm not quite sure but I think I remember having seen something about the Asset Main application moved somewhere (I can't find it from main screens). Am'I right ?

So nobody care about Asset Maint ? Where has it gone (just curious) ?

We do care. I think Adrian is using it as well.

That's correct. Our company uses Asset Maintenance.

Anil,
Ho sorry, I think I did not well express myself : I can't find the entry point in the UI (OK, I did not search much in code ;o) Jacques From: "Anil Patel" <[hidden email]> > We do care. Hi Jacques
Asset maint has app-bar-display="false" so you would need to access it via it's url. Regards Scott 2008/5/28 Jacques Le Roux <[hidden email]>: > So nobody care about Asset Maint ? Thanks Scott,
I finally found that it was set in revision 575386 by Adrian. I did not find the reason, is there still a reason to hide it ? It was that way originally, and in one of my previous commits I
accidentally changed it to true. -Adrian Jacques Le Roux wrote: > Thanks Scott, > > I finally found that it was set in revision 575386 by Adrian. Thanks Adrian,
So my questions to everybody, should we do not give access to Asset Maint from a button in the bottom of screen ? I understand that hhfacility may be hidden (though, I remember it was quite cool in a std browser also) but why Asset Maint and Cms Site ? I don't recall a specific discussion on enabling the menu tabs, but the
general feeling at the time was that the special purpose applications would have the main menu tabs turned off and they could be enabled if anyone wanted to use them. It doesn't matter to me personally. -Adrian Jacques Le Roux wrote: > Thanks Adrian, > > So my questions to everybody, should we do not give access to Asset > Maint from a button in the bottom of screen ? > I understand that hhfacility may be hidden (though, I remember it was > quite cool in a std browser also) but why Asset Maint and Cms Site ? > > Jacques > > From: "Adrian Crum" <[hidden email]> >> It was that way originally, and in one of my previous commits I >> accidentally changed it to true. >> >> -Adrian >> >> Jacques Le Roux wrote: >>> Thanks Scott, >>> >>> I finally found that it was set in revision 575386 by Adrian. But then why BI, eBay, and Google Base and even Oagis (tough for this last one it's a bit different I guess) are visible ?
Of course, this is not a question intended to you Adrian, but to the community at large... I think that now that we have a (simple) mechanism to split
application menu items (and put the most specific or technical ones at the bottom of the screen) it could be a good idea to make them all visible: hhfacility, Asset Maint, Cms... (ecommerce too?) What do you think? +1, and why not for ecommerce (not the clone of course) : maybe useful sometimes...
