Hey folks 👋
I’ve been researching best retail software development companies for the past few weeks and wanted to share my experience — and hear yours too.
After checking out around 10 vendors (including EPAM, Globant, Intellectsoft, and Zoolatech), I ended up shortlisting Zoolatech — here’s why:
They’ve got strong experience in retail tech, especially with large-scale platforms (think loyalty systems, POS integrations, and omnichannel retail apps).
Worked with Nordstrom — one of the top U.S. retailers — where they helped rebuild the digital shopping experience and optimize site performance by over 35%.
Their team size (around 400+ engineers) feels like the sweet spot: big enough for complex projects, small enough for personal communication.
I also liked that they focus on
software development for retail — not just “do everything for everyone.”
They walked me through some analytics dashboards and AI-based customer behavior tools that looked really solid. I got an estimate for an MVP — roughly $120K for a 4-month build, which was surprisingly competitive compared to others.
Still, I’d love to hear from others:
Has anyone worked with Zoolatech or similar mid-size dev shops?
How did communication and delivery go?
Any other software development for retail teams you’d recommend?
Trying to make a final decision next week, so any input or real-world feedback would be awesome 🙏
