Hi Jacques,
What does buildbot do for OFBiz that it can't be replaced by something else like Jenkins? See: https://builds.apache.org/ Regards, Pierre |

See: https://builds.apache.org/ It's not related to Buildbot itself but the underlying system (isis) https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-4562, please push... We could use Jenkins also, there are Jenkins instance running at the ASF I thought it was time to move ahead and commonly ask infra for a replacement But I checked and it's only one month, so I suggest to wait a bit more... Hi Jacques,
It is not only trunk that isn't done by buildbot anymore (not since Mar 6), but - http://ci.apache.org/builders/ofbiz-branch9 not build since Feb 28, - http://ci.apache.org/builders/ofbiz-branch10 not build since Feb 24 And there is no bot for ofbiz-branch11 Maybe we should press harder Regards, Pierre Op 20 april 2012 23:37 schreef Jacques Le Roux <[hidden email] > het volgende: > From: "Pierre Smits" <[hidden email]> > > Hi Jacques, >> >> What does buildbot do for OFBiz that it can't be replaced by something >> else >> like Jenkins? I think it's better to wait a bit (a week?), but not too longer yes.
Then we will ask for a CI solution, being Builbot or not At least this is my opinion Jacques From: "Pierre Smits" <[hidden email]> > Hi Jacques, > > It is not only trunk that isn't done by buildbot anymore (not since Mar 6), > but > > - http://ci.apache.org/builders/ofbiz-branch9 not build since Feb 28, > - http://ci.apache.org/builders/ofbiz-branch10 not build since Feb 24 > > And there is no bot for ofbiz-branch11 > > Maybe we should press harder > > Regards, > > Pierre > > Op 20 april 2012 23:37 schreef Jacques Le Roux <[hidden email] >> het volgende: > >> From: "Pierre Smits" <[hidden email]> >> >> Hi Jacques, >>> >>> What does buildbot do for OFBiz that it can't be replaced by something >>> else >>> like Jenkins? Hi Jacques,
I agree. Does the buildbot also execute the unit tests in trunk and release branches, or just build? It's a CI solution, so yes it runs tests. It applies only on trunk though.
Releases branches are not supposed to fail, since we only backport bugfixes. This could happen though. But with the number of Apache projects releases the ASF has not the infrastructure to support CI for all releases... Buildbot is on OFBiz again. Now using ceres_ubuntu.

Yes indeed, weel done :o)
We just have a zip exception: http://ci.apache.org/builders/ofbiz-trunk/builds/2657/steps/shell_1/logs/stdio It seems Gavin is already on it (it's still on testing mode: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-4562?focusedCommentId=13267267&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-13267267 Jacques From: "Pierre Smits" <[hidden email]> > Buildbot is on OFBiz again.
