I did following:
1) Accounting --> General Ledger 2) Setup for Company 3) Got the screen "Accounting Preferences" with non editable fields Here I want to change Base Currency from USD to other. Editable options come at very first time when I setup GL, onwards How can I edit Accounting Preferences ? Thanks in advance for any pointer. Connect with friends all over the world. Get Yahoo! You may use
webtools/control/ViewGeneric?entityName=PartyAcctgPreference&partyId=Company&enableEdit=true Jacques From: "Sneha Chaturvedi" <[hidden email]> I did following: 1) Accounting --> General Ledger 2) Setup for Company 3) Got the screen "Accounting Preferences" with non editable fields Here I want to change Base Currency from USD to other. Just be very careful when doing this in an existing system! It is not supported in the normal UI for a reason, and that is the code doesn't try to go back and cleanup things like already posted transactions, so changing many of these fields can cause data consistency and other problems. -David On Feb 6, 2009, at 5:53 AM, Jacques Le Roux wrote: > You may use webtools/control/ViewGeneric? > entityName=PartyAcctgPreference&partyId=Company&enableEdit=true > > Jacques > > From: "Sneha Chaturvedi" <[hidden email]> > I did following: > > 1) Accounting --> General Ledger > 2) Setup for Company > 3) Got the screen "Accounting Preferences" with non editable fields > > Here I want to change Base Currency from USD to other. > Editable options come at very first time when I setup GL, onwards > How can I edit Accounting Preferences ? > > Thanks in advance for any pointer. > > > > > > Connect with friends all over the world. Hi Jacques,
Would it not be easier to have a field in ofbizsetup to select the base currency on the 'Create new organization'-screen? Pierre Smitz is spot on with his comment. As per everything that I have tried in my evaluation to date almost every aspect of OfBiz so far has been unwieldy.

Yes.
Isn't that where ofbizsetup is intended for? To enable the user to do a first time setup of an organisation without have to execute obscure scripts and tasks? Yes sure,
Please feel free to provide a patch. I'm currently swamped in the jQuery branch... Thanks Jacques From: "Pierre Smits" <[hidden email]> > Yes. > > Isn't that where ofbizsetup is intended for?
