Car financing in Canada: any credit unions worth checking out?

GabySolis99
Hey folks,
I’m shopping around for a car loan in Canada and honestly feeling a bit overwhelmed. Banks, dealerships, online lenders — everyone promises “the best rate,” but the fine print is always something else 🙄
I’m mainly looking for a reasonable interest rate and a clear term, nothing fancy. If anyone’s had a good experience recently, I’d really appreciate a recommendation.

Totally get that — I went through the same thing not long ago.
I ended up going with Buduchnist Credit Union (BCU Financial) and have zero regrets so far.

They offer a straightforward car loan at 6.99% annually for a 5-year term, which was better than what my bank and the dealer financing offered me. No weird surprises, no pressure.

You can check the full conditions and details here: https://bcufinancial.com/personal/borrowing/loans-and-lines-of-credit/car-loan/

What I liked most is that BCU is a credit union, so the approach feels more personal and transparent. The application process was smooth, and they actually took the time to explain everything instead of rushing me through it.

That’s exactly the kind of info I was hoping for — thank you!
6.99% for five years sounds pretty solid compared to what I’ve seen so far. I’ll definitely check out BCU Financial and that link. Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience 👍
