Hi,
I create a virtual product and assigned it to a category, then I create a variant and make the connection between them, and they appear OK. However, I cannot set the category for the variant in the UI. Help please. - dave |

David,
It work for me as well. Can you please elaborate your question ? You can take help of DemoProducts.xml file for the organization of Catalog --> Category (& its subcategories) --> Product. -- Ashish On Fri, Jun 6, 2008 at 5:09 PM, Jacques Le Roux < [hidden email]> wrote: > This works for me using last trunk revision > > Jacques > > From: "David Johnson" <[hidden email]> > > Hi, >> >> I create a virtual product and assigned it to a category, then I create a >> variant and make the connection between them, and they appear OK. >> However, I cannot set the category for the variant in the UI. >> >> Help please. >> >> - dave >> >> >> |
Hi,
I now get the drop down for the Categories appearing and can choose the one I have created, after updating my source tree. The virtual product now has variant 'to' associations. However, when I come to use the shop they do not appear when I click on the 'Choose Variation...' button. Do I need to specify Features too? Is there an example in the documentation that walks you through the GUI workflow, rather than the raw XML in the demo setup? - David On 7 Jun 2008, at 06:48, Ashish Vijaywargiya wrote: > David, > > It work for me as well. > Can you please elaborate your question ? > > You can take help of DemoProducts.xml file for the organization of > Catalog > --> Category (& its subcategories) --> Product. > > -- > Ashish > > On Fri, Jun 6, 2008 at 5:09 PM, Jacques Le Roux < > [hidden email]> wrote: > >> This works for me using last trunk revision >> >> Jacques >> >> From: "David Johnson" <[hidden email]> >> >> Hi, >>> >>> I create a virtual product and assigned it to a category, then I >>> create a >>> variant and make the connection between them, and they appear OK. >>> However, I cannot set the category for the variant in the UI. >>> >>> Help please. >>> >>> - dave >>> >>> >>> |
Hi David,
Yes with features those actual varients are associated. With features a specific varent is associated. You can follow product *WG-9943 from catalog manager. It will help in understanding the concept.* Thanks & Regards -- Pranay Pandey On Mon, Jun 9, 2008 at 7:29 PM, David Johnson <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hi, > > I now get the drop down for the Categories appearing and can choose the one > I have created, after updating my source tree. > > The virtual product now has variant 'to' associations.
