CreditCard Entity Uses

Hi All,

I am bit confused about the uses of the CreditCard Entity present in accounting's payment module.

I am trying to avoid the use CreditCard entity as I don't need to store the creditcard details after any checkout process is carried out in ecommerce store.

Can anyone tell me the actual Business Logic behind the use of CreditCard entity as I think the PaymentGatewayResponse Entity is enough of storing the response after authorization/capture/refund as it contains the payment gateways transaction id for further transaction (if any).

Please share your views on this, about storing of CreditCard number in it's entity.
