Current Year Profit on Balance Sheet

Robert Lasater-2
How do you get the current year's profit to be included in the equity on
the Balance sheet? Closing the fiscal year does not work. All the other
numbers are correct. Just need the Net Income to appear on the balance
sheet as equity

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

Hi Robert

I have a possible idea about what it might be but first need to replicate your issue so will need some information about what you're using.

Are you using the demo chart of accounts as a base or your own?
Are you using the demo mappings around the GL Account Defaults or have you done your own?

Thanks

HI Sharan,

Thanks for looking into this for me. We did setup our own GL Account
Defaults. I was able to get the current years p/l to show by assigning the
retained earnings default correctly.

Hi Robert

That's great! I'm glad you managed to solve your problem.

I thought it might be a mapping issue. A lot of the GL postings are controlled by the GL Account Defaults so it is always a good place to look.

Thanks
Sharan
