Why is this in OFBIZ Project Administration Workspace. Should it not go in the OFBiz (Open For Business) Project Open Wiki ? Ron -- Ron Wheeler President Artifact Software Inc email: [hidden email] skype: ronaldmwheeler phone: 866-970-2435, ext 102 |

I guess David decided to put it there to avoid this document to be modified by non committers
From my POV it could be moved to the open wiki indeed Before I will update the links... The PMC could also decide to assign update rights regarding documents in
OFBADMIN to selected contributors. More discrimination against non-committers;-)
I am trying to make sense out of all the ways that external data can be loaded and maintained. I think that I got onto that page during my search for the truth and saw some errors or broken links. I will have a look at it once it moves. Mmm, I wonder now because there are many internal workspace (OFBADMIN) links in this page
Notably the one to https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBADMIN/OFBiz+Documentation+Index where there are even more internal workspace (OFBADMIN) links ... So we have to decide what to move and not... At least the links are OK on this page now. While at it I found the pages https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/pages/viewinfo.action?pageId=7766066 https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/pages/viewinfo.action?pageId=7766042 quite interesting <rant> Confluence is slow :/ </rant> Jacques Le 12/01/2015 21:53, Ron Wheeler a écrit : > More discrimination against non-committers;-) > > I am trying to make sense out of all the ways that external data can be loaded and maintained. > I think that I got onto that page during my search for the truth and saw some errors or broken links. > > I will have a look at it once it moves. > > Ron > > > On 12/01/2015 3:19 PM, Jacques Le Roux wrote: >> I guess David decided to put it there to avoid this document to be modified by non committers >> From my POV it could be moved to the open wiki indeed >> >> Before I will update the links... >> >> Jacques >> >> >> Le 12/01/2015 20:19, Ron Wheeler a écrit : >>> https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBADMIN/Demo+and+Test+Setup+Guide >>> >>> Why is this in OFBIZ Project Administration Workspace. >>> Should it not go in the OFBiz (Open For Business) Project Open Wiki ? >>> >>> Ron >>> >> > > |

That would be a bit complicated to decide and especially maintain ;)

It isn't. It is just like adding committers with specific rights.

Right, that could a solution, but how and who would be concerned, maybe just by asking and then the dev team decide?

Hi
I'm can move it to the wiki. At least if someone wants to begin reviewing and updating it then they can do. My proposed documentation strategy was to look at these workspaces one at a time doing a full review of all the documents in the process. I dont think this guide was referenced in the technical documentation but it probably will be in the End User documentation which is what I'll be looking on next. Thanks Sharan On 13/01/2015 10:35, Jacopo Cappellato wrote: > I agree we should move it to the Wiki > > Jacopo > > On Jan 12, 2015, at 8:19 PM, Ron Wheeler <[hidden email]> wrote: > >> https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBADMIN/Demo+and+Test+Setup+Guide >> >> Why is this in OFBIZ Project Administration Workspace. >> Should it not go in the OFBiz (Open For Business) Project Open Wiki ? >> >> Ron >> >> -- >> Ron Wheeler >> President >> Artifact Software Inc >> email: [hidden email] >> skype: ronaldmwheeler >> phone: 866-970-2435, ext 102 >> |

Then I think there is no hurry for the admin workspace; and we should continue helping Sharan in her work on the end user workspace; then later the
admin one as it seems we all agree about moving it to the wiki Jacques Le 13/01/2015 10:41, Sharan Foga a écrit : > Hi > > I'm can move it to the wiki. I agree but I ran into this page while looking at end-user docs and
found this page that holds information that is important to the end-user but is in the wrong space. As you might have seen, Sharan moved this page (only for now), so far so good :)
