Demo warning

Hi Hans,

I saw you added a warning message to your demo instances, like

Could it be possible to contribute this in a way to have it available also in official demos? I mean not OOTB but with a mechanism
like ant svninfo.

BTW please consider to add a warning saying these demos are not the offiical ones.

Hi Jacques,

yes as an extra service i provide tweets at the twitter account
*@apache_ofbiz* when we successfully upgraded our trunk based
multi-tenant system. To indicate the usable revisions in the trunk. The
system we use for demo's for customers but also for our partners
customers so they can show the site as custname.ofbizdemo.com.
custnamebackend.ofbizdemo.com and we even have a valid ssl certificate
on it.
Examples are ofbizsaas.ofbizdemo.com productfromthailand.ofbizdemo.com

The message is a patch which is applied every time the system is
regenerated. Sure we could contribute, be since it was decided to slim
down the system, we are now much selectively contributing.... A good
example is the removal of BI and Birt reporting with i am really
confused seeing the poor reporting in the system. The same for the help
system which is very much needed and some people seem to think that that
should be removed. How can that be, when everybody agrees documentation
is poor? Do not ask me why the trunk link was removed from the official
site.

With http://www.ofbizdemo.com, http://www.ofbiz.info and the twitter
account apache_ofbiz (more will follow) I am trying to contribute in a
different way to the project where i do not have the problems when i
contribute to the ofbiz core system but still promote the project in a
constructive way.

so yes, you touched a sensitive part.....sorry beforehand for the
rambling email and the promotion of the activities..... :-)

I'd still appreciate a contribution if you think it makes sense.
It could used on demos, at least trunk only for now (as I understand?), then later releases
