Is there a current "Reins Holder" for documentation?  I'm about to
embark on an install, but I'm either numbing it or documentation isn't
real thorough.  I've created a wordpress site that duplicates the ofbiz
menu and plan on keeping notes there for the next year or so while I get
my ducks in a row.  If it were polished, would that be of any use to the
community?  Who would I talk to?

You are OK. It is the docs!

1) Subscribe to the dev list. There is active work (or at least
planning) going on in this area.
2) Sign and submit an Apache ICLA ( and a corporate one if you are
covered by an employment agreement) if you do not already have one on file.
3) Look through the wiki and see where you can clear up or enhance the
docs that are there.
4) Write stuff and let people throw rocks if they have a problem.

What is the specs. on that VM running the OFBiz demos?

Roughly:

Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS (GNU/Linux 3.2.0-97-generic x86_64) with 4GB

We run 3 OFBiz instances (trunk, stable - aka R13.07 - and old - aka R12.04) there

There is an HTTPD front end provided by the infra team to handle the ASF common certificate

Hi Craig

I'm doing some work on the end user documentation. I've drafted a table of contents and am going through what we already have and putting it in the right place. Over the years we have put together a lot but it just needs to be a bit more organised.

We already have some technical documenation but I think the end user documentation needs to be tidied up now as it can really effect whether people give OFBiz a try or not.

It's good to have others helping out with the documentation so any help you can provide is most welcome.

My internet access is not so great so I may not be able to respond to anything until early week.
