Difference Between Mail Check/Money Order and COD

Hi,

I wanted to know
Difference between Mail Check/Money Order and COD(Cash on Delivery)  in the
payment methods .
How it will affects Accounting and Order Transaction.

each is a different payment type.
all are put on hold unless you running the POS component.
COD is not used in POS.

These are know as external payments.
so the order is put on hold till the payment is received.
Hold means not more processing of the order.
https://demo.ofbiz.org/ordermgr/control/orderview?orderId=DEMO10090
is how you view an order
you would go to the payment section and make a payment when Money
order/check was cleared to your satisfaction.
this would then put the order in Approved status so it could be
processed for shipping.
not sure the process for COD since I don't use it.
