The best way to choose a digital marketing agency to work with is to look at the business first and answer the following questions:
What’s my business goal? What do I want to achieve through digital marketing? (higher revenue? higher LTV of customers? more leads?) What do I want to achieve by working with a digital marketing agency? (get an expert to do the DM tasks as I have no time to learn it myself? To get out from doing my own digital marketing efforts so I can start focusing on more important tasks? To lower my costs because it is expensive to hire a fulltime digital marketer when I only need someone to work part-time?) How much control am I willing to give the digital marketing agency when it comes to marketing my brand? (e.g. I know so little about marketing so I want them to plan and execute everything and I’ll just pay for it, I know enough to have a say on what I need done and what my plans are in campaigns, I still want full control over initiatives and campaign and I just need the agency to suggest ideas to me and when I approve things they will implement them) What’s my budget? Digital marketing agencies charge differently, some based on manhours, some based on results, and some based on a percentage of ad spend or campaign budget. How often do I want to “talk” to my agency? Some agency runs in a done-for-you-and-you-just-pay-monthly type of packages while some agencies are more dynamic and flexible, working as if they are the client’s inhouse marketing team (so they brainstorm with the client often and discuss results) You could try to clearly define your needs depending on how your business operates as well. When it comes to getting an agency, it is like trying to find the perfect fit. |
