Discussion: Expanded Party Demo Data

Adrian Crum-2
The current demo data sets up a single company with a handful of internal organizations that could be considered departments (DemoOrganizationData.xml). I would like to expand this demo data to make it more enterprise-like.

The organization would look like:

Company
  Divison A
    Accounting Department
      Employees
      Suppliers
      Etc
    Sales Department
      Employees
      Suppliers
      Etc
  Division B
    Branch 1
      Accounting Department
        Employees
        Suppliers
        Etc
      Sales Department
        Employees
        Suppliers
        Etc
    Branch 2
      Accounting Department
        Employees
        Suppliers
        Etc
      Sales Department
        Employees
        Suppliers
        Etc

What do you think?

Hello Adrian,

The hierarchy looks good to me. One quick question:

-- Are you thinking to maintain the relevant data in a SINGLE file?

Anil Patel-3
This data enhancement will help a lot with testing Accounting module
reports and gl postings where each division has their own books.

Adrian, thanks for your help with this.

Re: Discussion: Expanded Party Demo Data

Adrian Crum
For now I will just create the party hierarchy. I don't know that I will
have time to set up separate accounting.
