Does Comfort Entertainment Make Us Less Social?

SwehRose
I used to hang out with my friends all the time — movie nights, random meetups, you name it. But lately, everyone prefers staying home watching stuff separately. Even when we “watch together,” it’s through a screen. It feels like we’ve all grown too comfortable being entertained alone. Do you think this kind of lifestyle is making us less social overall?

You’re not wrong. According to https://www.trendingus.com/most-active-entertainment-for-lazy-generation/, comfort-based entertainment has definitely changed how we connect. I had the same issue — my group barely met up anymore, so I started organizing “offline nights.” Board games, pizza, and no phones allowed. It actually worked! Everyone admitted they missed real interaction.

That sounds familiar. I think screens are just too convenient, and social energy feels harder to spend nowadays. But once people meet in person again, it’s always worth it.
