Edit "Role Type Id" list

Bertuzzi, Armando [Nervianoms]
Hi all,
what relationship exists between field "Role Type Id" found in form
"Project > Resources > Add a Resource" and fields "Role Type" and "Type"
found in form "Party  >  Parties"?
How is it possible to add new items to the "Role Type Id" list?
Many thanks in advance for your help,
Armando

Hi,

the roletype is exactly the same however only a limited number are used
in the project manager.

You can add new values in the party manager or go to webtools where you
can add records in the RoleType entity.

Regards,
Hans

Reports of ProjectMgr component

Bertuzzi, Armando [Nervianoms]
Hi all,
I have difficulties in locating the html reports that are part of the
ProjectMgr component.
Reports of this component should include
 - Task Reports,
 - Task by priority,
 - Task over time estimate or past schedule
 - Estimated schedule/workload for party X
 etc.
Can someone direct me to where they can be found?
Many thanks in advance for your help,
Armando

Hi Amando.

Reporting of the project manager is currently limited to the
projectoverview.

I am developing a more extensive project manager which will be available
later this year.

Hans

RE: Reports of ProjectMgr component

Bertuzzi, Armando [Nervianoms]
Hans, thank you very much for your answer.
Just for for the sake of clarity: the projectoverview report is the
collection of information presented on the screen when a project is
selected (sub-item "Project Summary").
Am I correct?

Hi Hans,

what are the next functionnalities you will be introducing ?
Will you create a new module, or will this be integrated to the actual
projectmgr ?
And last question, when is later ?

Thanks,

Re: Reports of ProjectMgr component

hans_bakker
hi Erwan,

I just put the new component in production at our company system.

I called it 'custserv' for customer service and is an extension of the
project manager.

This new component handles everything around the customer request and
when work is required by an employee, can open a related task.

functions currently included: (from the docbook document:
- Customer Request (ticket) with several status values to track progess
- Incoming Email (or telephone call not yet) are stored as a
communicationEvent
- Automatic creation of a customer request from a communication event
- Possibility to add attachments to communication events and customer
requests
- Separate stored communication events related to a customer request
- Incoming email will automatically relate to the customer request again
via a #CR code in the subject line.
- Assignment of a customer request to a project task and in turn to a
person who can register time which can be invoiced automatically
- Satus screen showing open/inprocess and draft customer requests
- Incoming email and customer requests can be handled by separate
employees.
- List all communication events for a customer or a specific request.
- Extensive search function within communication events and customer
requests

With this component, programmers do not need an company email and still
can communicate with the customer.

Regards,
Hans

Seems interesting Hans - wished it had been in OFBiz, but much like the OpenTaps stuff that is not licensed under apache and none of us can technically work on - please have your discussions off list about your new components that you are building outside of OFBiz.

Since I didn't have a chance to get my - wow I hope that Hans doesn't feel attacked ... again ... message - to clarify, here is more information that I wish I'd have put in there so that people don't get so touchy:

1. Man Hans, wish you were still working on OFBiz more often - sorry to see you put this outside of OFBiz.
2. Could you please provide us with some URLs where we can send requests about your customer service app that you're providing so that people don't get confused that this comes with OFBiz.

Oh, and Hans, have a nice day :)

Cheers,
Ruppert

Error executing Project "Schedule" command

Bertuzzi, Armando [Nervianoms]
In reply to this post by Bertuzzi, Armando [Nervianoms]
Hi all,
using the ofBiz Project Manager module I received the following error
message as result of the execution of the "Schedule" command (option
found in the Project Summary page).
Can someone suggest how to fix the problem?

"org.ofbiz.widget.screen.ScreenRenderException: Error rendering screen
[component://projectmgr/widget/CommonScreens.xml#CommonProjectDecorator]
: org.ofbiz.entity.transaction.GenericTransactionException: The current
transaction is marked for rollback, not beginning a new transaction and
aborting current operation; the rollbackOnly was caused by: Failure in
findByCondition operation for entity [WorkEffort]:
org.ofbiz.entity.GenericEntityException: Error getting the next result
(A lock could not be obtained within the time requested). Rolling back
transaction.org.ofbiz.entity.GenericEntityException: Error getting the
next result (A lock could not be obtained within the time requested)
(Error getting the next result (A lock could not be obtained within the
time requested)) (The current transaction is marked for rollback, not
beginning a new transaction and aborting current operation; the
rollbackOnly was caused by: Failure in findByCondition operation for
entity [WorkEffort]: org.ofbiz.entity.GenericEntityException: Error
getting the next result (A lock could not be obtained within the time
requested). Rolling back
transaction.org.ofbiz.entity.GenericEntityException: Error getting the
next result (A lock could not be obtained within the time requested)
(Error getting the next result (A lock could not be obtained within the
time requested)))"

The program was successfully executed in a previous run, but began
ending with the above error after I made some changes in the data. Even
correcting those items to previous values the error continues to occur
and prevents further login (*) unless the system is restarted.

Many thanks in advance for your help,
Armando

Bertuzzi, Armando [Nervianoms]
Hi all,
using the ofBiz Project Manager module, is there a way to have the
"Schedule" command to schedule project tasks starting from a day
different from today's date?
Many thanks in advance for your help,
