Enable Two-Factor Authentication on Hotmail:

rebbecabethany
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) lets you add another level of security to your account beyond just a username and a password, that prevents unauthorized access to your account. To enable 2FA on your Hotmail/Outlook account, follow these steps:

Open your desired web browser and visit "login.live.com".
Sign into your account using your credentials.
On the top right-hand of the screen, click on your profile and select "My Profile".
On the next page, click on "Security", then click on "Advance Security".
You'll be asked to verify your details.
Once the verification is done, scroll down and under "Additional Security" click on "Turn on" Two-step verification.
You'll be redirected to a new page, read the guidelines carefully, and then click on the Next button.
Underneath "Verify My Identity", select the type of 2FA you want to enable and select "A phone number".
After that another field will appear, enter your details and click on Next, and you'll get a code on your account.
Enter the code and click on Enable.
