Excel to Outlook contacts import causing field mismatch issues

davidclark11
While importing contacts from an Excel spreadsheet into Outlook, I’m facing problems with incorrect field mapping. Phone numbers, emails, and addresses are not placed in the right fields. Manual mapping is very time-consuming.
Is there any tool available that can accurately convert Excel files into vCard format with proper field mapping?

Field‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ mismatch is a common problem when importing contacts from Excel to Outlook with the main cause being that Outlook won't interpret Excel column headers correctly. One way to resolve the issue is to manually map fields in Outlook, but the process is often time-consuming and takes up a lot of time. A more efficient way would be to first convert the contacts from Excel to vCard format and then import them. I fixed this trouble by employing a tool that made it possible to correctly map worksheet columns with the corresponding fields during the conversion. Searching for a trustworthy Excel-to-VCF converter, I discovered that Softaken Excel to vCard Converter is a good tool because it gives you the option to check and align fields before saving. Outlook has not only recognized the fields of the contacts, but it has also worked perfectly after converting Excel files to vCard. This method helped to save time and got rid of repeated import ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌errors.
