Expired Inventory Item in Manufacturing Job

Hi Ofbiz Users,

*Summary: *
Can expired inventory item be used in Manufacturing Job, Ofbiz Version :
12.04

*Use Case:*
- Let me explain this using Ofbiz Sample Data
- Following is the Bill Of Materials  record for GZ-BASKET
   GZ-1004     Rainbow Gizmo      3
   GZ-1001     Nan Gizmo      2
   GZ-1000     Tiny Gizmo      1
- As you can see 3[GZ-1004], 2[GZ-1001] and 1[GZ-1000] are required to
complete the Job
- Let us assume i have 3[GZ-1004] in the inventory, however the Expiry Date
on this Inventory Item is in the past [expired], and other items GZ-1001,
GZ-1000 are in  Inventory (without expiry)
- When running the Manufacturing Job, i expected the Job to fail with
*"Materials
not available in warehouse GZ-1004 : 3*" as Inventory items of GZ-1004 are
expired
- However the Production Job was successful
*Question:*
* Production Run is not checking for Expiry Date of the Inventory Items;*
Is this a bug or expected behavior?

Appreciate any pointers on this

Whether or not to use products with an expiration date is determined by
factors outside of OFBiz. Unfortunately, OFBiz doesn't take those outside
factors into consideration in current feature set.

If you feel that this warrants an improvement issue, feel free to create
such a JIRA.

Thanks Pierre & Jacques for your responses;

@Jacques Creating Orders work fine in this situation, Just to clarify, only
the Inventory Item of the product is expired, not the product itself (using
Release Date/ Support thru Date/ Sales Dis-continuation Date)
