Facility Manager

[Heidi Dehaes - Olagos]

Hello,

If i start the facility manager in ofbiz 09.04 i can choose a demo facility.
When i have choosen the demo facility, i have a blank screen with the
menu's.

I can only click on "shipment in" to see anything.

How functions these business procedures. Is the only way to create an
inventory in a facility by the receiving of a shipment?????

After you select a facility you should see a menu just below the top  
bar containing the various screens that you can interact with.  It  
seems to be working fine on the demo server: https://demo904.ofbiz.org/facility/control/main

Hi Heidi

I'm no business specialist but you shouldnt be getting a blank screen when you select a facility that already exists. The only thing I can think of is that for some reason the system is trying to create a 'new facility' which is why you get only a blank screen with the only the top level menus.

I have had this problem sometimes using the online demo (demo904.ofbiz.org) but couldnt track down why it was happening. Normally to fix it I just try clicking on some other menus then come back to it and then it works OK.

For myself I'm running 9.04 and I have only a facility (warehouse) setup and its working OK.

There are many ways to create inventory in the facility. You can receive incoming inventory, create inventory items, do inventory adjustments. If you are creating starting inventories that are not zero then I think an initial inventory adjustment is probably a good way to go.

Thanks Scott,

Yes but i see the menu. But the menu items when i click them they do
nothing.
Only the menu-item "shipment in" gives some input fields to work with.

Hi Heidi

Does it work for you on the link I provided?
That will at least tell if the problem is
a. user error
b. a problem with your installation/setup

Hi,

I just remarked that there is really a problem with the facility manager.
It doesn't show you input fields and texts (only the menu) when you try to
use it in release09.04 with the theme with dropdown menu's.

I don't know what the name is of that theme. But i think it is the only one
who has dropdown menu's.

When i use the old ofbiz4.0 theme within release 09.04 i see all the input
fields for every menu case in a normal way.
