I create a folder say c:\temp\ofbiz then i chose TortiseSVN --> Import and paste "https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/ofbiz/branches/release4.0" in it. It asks me for id/pwd i fill in my userid and password that i use to log in to ofbiz site, it keeps on showing id/pwd dialog again and again.
If you can suggest some site where i can read the step by step instructions on using TortiseSVN it will be very helpful

  Aman Tur

Here is the link of  Source Repository and Access -
      http://docs.ofbiz.org/display/OFBADMIN/Source+Repository+and+Access

      SVN path for trunk -
      http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/ofbiz/trunk

SVN path to OFBiz 4.0 -
       https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/ofbiz/branches/release4.0

Also, I dont use XP but I DO know that Tortoise SVN should work for checkin out the codebase.

Oh ok. In that case, you will need to edit the database record column
'isDemoStore' and set it to 'N' by writing a sql script

          OR

If that field doesnt exist, you can search for this piece of code in the
          *.ftl email templates -

          "<#if !isDemoStore?exists || isDemoStore><p>NOTE: This is a DEMO
store-front.  Orders placed here will NOT be billed, and will NOT be

You may be having a good reason to use OFBiz 3.0 (which is pretty
obsolete). I strongly recommend you to move on to the latest trunk. The
latest has a lot of goodies(updates) in it.

Re: Fw: Demo Store Message in checkout

Scott Gray
You should be able to Checkout (not import) anonymously from the https
address.  Is TortoiseSVN the one that integrates with windows explorer?  If
it is, I think your better off using Eclipse and Subclipse for svn.

Scott

Re: Fw: Demo Store Message in checkout

Sorry Scott,

Even if I try to checkout I get this:

Error: REPORT request failed on '/repos/asf/!svn/vcc/default'
    Error: REPORT of '/repos/asf/!svn/vcc/default': 403 Forbidden (
http://svn.apache.org)

Re: Fw: Demo Store Message in checkout

Ray Barlow
TortoiseSVN should and does work very well. Sometimes people have to use
the https access for checkout due to proxy servers and other issues
between them and the server.

SVN access is open and working for all and I would urge you to continue
pursuing getting it working for yourself using any tool you can as
support on these forums for old versions like v3 is harder for all
involved. It generally leads to less answers for your questions and a
majority of answers that will suggest you upgrade "cause it's been fixed".

Good luck,

Ray

Even if I try to checkout I get this:

Error: REPORT request failed on '/repos/asf/!svn/vcc/default'
   Error: REPORT of '/repos/asf/!svn/vcc/default': 403 Forbidden (
http://svn.apache.org)

You should be able to Checkout (not import) anonymously from the https
address. Is TortoiseSVN the one that integrates with windows
explorer? If
it is, I think your better off using Eclipse and Subclipse for svn.

https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/ofbiz/branches/release4.0 is for

  I create a folder say c:\temp\ofbiz then i chose TortiseSVN -->

Import

and paste "https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/ofbiz/branches/release4.0"

in

it. It asks me for id/pwd i fill in my userid and password that i

use to
log

in to ofbiz site, it keeps on showing id/pwd dialog again and again.
If you can suggest some site where i can read the step by step
instructions on using TortiseSVN it will be very helpful

Here is the link of Source Repository and Access -

http://docs.ofbiz.org/display/OFBADMIN/Source+Repository+and+Access

      SVN path for trunk -
      http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/ofbiz/trunk

SVN path to OFBiz 4.0 -
       https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/ofbiz/branches/release4.0

Also, I dont use XP but I DO know that Tortoise SVN should work

for

checkin out the codebase.

get it using Tortise SVN [i'm using Windows XP :-( ]. I got it
from
sourceforge.net If you can please help me to get latest

source

from svn

Oh ok. In that case, you will need to edit the database

record

column
'isDemoStore' and set it to 'N' by writing a sql script

          OR

If that field doesnt exist, you can search for this piece of
code in the
          *.ftl email templates -

          "<#if !isDemoStore?exists || isDemoStore><p>NOTE: This is a

DEMO

store-front. Orders placed here will NOT be billed, and

will

NOT be
          fulfilled.</p></#if>"

          and remove it.

You may be having a good reason to use OFBiz 3.0 (which is
pretty
obsolete). I strongly recommend you to move on to the latest
trunk. The
latest has a lot of goodies(updates) in it.
