How Different Is osumania From Standard Osu?

Hi everyone,

I’ve played standard Osu! for years but only recently learned about osumania. I’m wondering how different the mechanics and maps are between the two. I saw that you can Visit osu mania and try custom beatmaps easily. Is the learning curve tougher, or does it just require different rhythm skills? Anyone here switch from regular Osu! to osu mania?
