How should I develop on Ofbiz

Hi. I'm rather new in developing on Ofbiz so I'd like to ask the group's opinion. After reading through the tutorials and doing some simple example on Ofbiz, what is the proper way to go about my development? Am I suppose to stick to the screens that came with Ofbiz modifying them only when needed? Or am I just expected to learn from these screens but eventually make my own (from scratch) using only the services that Ofbiz already has? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot!

especially how screens are built.
depending on your goal you have the choice to use the ones available or
to change them.
