In this manual method of converting PST files to MBOX, you will first check that Microsoft Outlook is the default email client on your computer. Once you have checked, go along with the below-described steps to convert the PST to MBOX:

Start Outlook Application and check whether the data you want to convert is present. Or, if it is not, then import the PST file in Outlook.
Now, run Mozilla Thunderbird Application, Click Tools, and select the Import option.
In the Import wizard, choose Mail and click Next.
Select Outlook from the list and click the Next button.
Here, you will find an Outlook Import folder containing all the Outlook PST emails under Local Folders.
Now, close the Import window.
