Delete the present scan profile and create a new one.
Repair QuickBooks and try the scanning the process once again.
Re-install QB with Clean Install Tool and set up QuickBooks Scan manager.
Change UAC settings in windows with the following steps to quick fix QuickBooks scanner driver error 281.
Press Windows + R key on the keyboard to open Run window.
Type Control Panel and hit OK.
