How to associate purchase order with sales order?

Anyone know how to associate a purchase order with a sales order? Seems
like one of the OrderItemAssoc or OrderItemAssociation entities are
meant to store such information but the only code I've found so far
deals with drop shipments.  Is there an UI that allows this information
to be created/edited yet?
