How to define "NOT NULL" constraint for the non-primary keys?

Debmalya Jash

Hello All,

I have to define a field with NOT NULL constraint. This field is not a part
of primary key.

I thought following field type will create "NOT NULL" constraint.

<field-type-def type="id-ne" sql-type="VARCHAR2(20)"
java-type="String"><validate method="isNotEmpty" /></field-type-def>

<field-type-def type="id-long-ne" sql-type="VARCHAR2(60)"
java-type="String"><validate method="isNotEmpty" /></field-type-def>

<field-type-def type="id-vlong-ne" sql-type="VARCHAR2(255)"
java-type="String"><validate method="isNotEmpty" /></field-type-def>

"NOT NULL" constraint added to only the primary keys.

How to define "NOT NULL" constraint for the non-primary keys?

-thanks & best regards,

Debmalya
