How to display some special characters on linux machine

info vs
Hi all

I have ftl file contains some spacial characters like  "Zürich",
if i run ofbiz in windows machine which displays fine but
when we copy the same file to linux machine which displays garbage character
like "Z�rich".
so how can we fix it??

What are you trying to achieve?
I did paste the "Zürich" in eclipse that has FTL plugin enabled on my
machine then it is showing it as it is.

  It will work fine if u r working in linux system but if u r working in
windows machine and transfer same file to production machine that is linux
machine it will displays garbage . .

Hi guys,


from you comments I conclude that  there might be an environment issue.
These typically surface in linux environments.

You will probably need to align your runtime shell character encoding on the
linux machine.

Without further details about the environment you use (runtime user's
shell?), whether you have ssh access to your environment etc. I will not be
able to help further. Can you directly talk to your hosting provider and ask
for help there?
