Individual VS Case

Robert Lasater-2
I am looking for the best way to setup OFBIZ to sell a product individually
and by case. And also pack and ship individually and by case. I have not
found any decent documentation around this. Has anyone found a good way to
configure this setup?

Thanks,
Robert

Hi Robert,

This scenario is solved by having a second product (for the case) with
product-type="MARKETING_PKG_AUTO".

Best regards,

Re: Individual VS Case

This is all been very helpful. Using product-type="MARKETING_PKG_AUTO"
works using the association.

One more question:Right now, to pack a case, a case must be ordered. Is it
possible to sell 12 single items and yet pack the order as a case using
MARKETING_PKG_AUTO? I don't see how that conversion could happen at this
point, but thought maybe someone has dealt with this before?

Thanks.

Robert

You can always sell single items as well as case . But you will either have
to sell case or 12 single items . Do you mean to ask that you sell 12
single items but your order will say that 1 case is sold ?

Thanks

Re: Individual VS Case

Robert Lasater-2
Hi Divesh,

I mean to say, we sell 12 single items, but pack and ship 1 case.

Many customers order by the single item, but the warehouse ships cases. It
is really a matter of converting bottles into cases when shipping. This
will reduce errors in our fulfillment process.

Thanks,

Robert
