Joe Eckard commented on OFBIZ-607:
----------------------------------

I happen to be looking at some related issues - jumping in late here, so I haven't looked at the proposed changes...

It's my understanding that partial picks are fine... and that the remaining items (or quantities) won't show up on another picklist until the first one is closed. We were thinking that the closing of a picklist would have to be done manually by a packer, since it might be impossible for the system to figure out when you had packed everything that you could for a particular picklist. As a backup, we thought of scheduling a service to run each night that simply closed any picklists that remained open.

> Currently, in facility manager, under Warehouse > [Packing], you are prompted for an order Id and shipment group seq Id.    It would be nice to have a list of orders from this warehouse which are ready for packing, so you can just pick them off the list and pack them, rather than going through the order manager.
> Alternatively, the order manager could have a screen which shows a list of shipments which are ready for packing.
