Hi!
In an attempt to get a better understanding of OFBiz internals, I have already worked by way through FreeMaker. Now I understand that the FreeMaker templates are used inside JPublish widgets (is that the term) in OFBiz. I tried to find out some information about JPublish, but their site is down since yesterday. I was checking www.jpublish.org. The jpublish.sourceforge.net site just points your there as well and https://jpublish.dev.java.net/ is not that helpful either. Unfortunately, and that suprised me, I was entirely unable to find any 3rd party howto, tutorial or article about JPublish at all. Regards, Torsten |
Hi Torsten,
we don't use JPublish anymore; now everything runs on screen widget; for more information about them I'd suggest to visit the following links: http://docs.ofbiz.org/x/PQM http://www.opensourcestrategies.com/ofbiz/tutorials.php Jacopo Torsten Schlabach wrote: > Hi! > > In an attempt to get a better understanding of OFBiz internals, I have already worked by way through FreeMaker. Torsten,
OFBiz is not using JPublish anymore. OFBiz uses now its own widgets : screen and form widgets. To know more about that the best way is too have a look at the Free Training Videos. JPublish has not been maintained for years and the decision was made a long time ago to move away from it (with the introduction of the Screen Widget about 2.5 years ago). So, as Jacopo said, yes OFBiz has stopped using JPublish as of a few months ago. -David On Mar 6, 2007, at 3:16 AM, Ahmed Raza wrote: > Has Ofbiz totally stopped supporting Jpublish.? > > Ahmed > > -----Original Message----- > From: Jacques Le Roux [mailto:[hidden email]] > Sent: Tuesday, March 06, 2007 3:17 PM > To: [hidden email] > Subject: Re: JPublish information ? - site is down > > Torsten, > > OFBiz is not using JPublish anymore.
