Hi
Thanks Julien for the svg files. I'm going to send them to Kenneth. In any case I'm convinced now that the svg file quality is what we need. So once we have the logo done, I think it would be good to load the svg files onto the project site for general branding. Thanks Sharan |

Hi Everyone
Thanks very much for your feedback. I'll carry one working with Kenneth to refine the second logo option.(the one with the whitespace). I'll also see if we can start using the svg instead of the png format for it as the image quality and re-sizing etc is a whole lot better. (thanks Julien for bringing this up) Thanks Sharan |

Hello Sharan,
There is one minor improvement that we can do in feather image. See the bottom most part of the current feather, I think it should contain the edges started from bottom left(this does exists) as well as on bottom right(this is missing) and there will be straight center line joining both the edges. Current Feather Image: http://i.imgur.com/iclJsQx.png Actual image of Feather(See the bottom most part where edges starts): https://cdn.vectorstock.com/i/composite/81,54/feather-vector-1028154.jpg I think we can do the adjustment and shift bottom right edge towards left so it will start touch the center line. I don't know whether it will be difficult one or simple one but thought to share this thought with everyone. I think that is an artistic decision. It's the Apache official logo
style and not a problem. I prefer to keep the Original Apache Logo than an home made feather :) Julien. This is very nitpicky but I agree with Ashish that the proposed image looks better.
But wait, now that we will use a svg font, why not using the "real" OFBiz name (I of course mean OFBiz vs ofbiz) I like things to be consistent (err, I'm even maniac on that :D) Thanks Jacques Le 30/05/2016 à 12:08, Julien NICOLAS a écrit : > I think that is an artistic decision. Hi All
It sounds like we havent reached a consensus after all :-) and so maybe need to discuss this some more. Thanks Sharan |
I believe we have. A majority expressed a +1 for the second option. The
comment were regarding a follow up on that. So these can be addressed after the implementation of #2. Or you can wait..... I also like the idea of using the capitalization as in OFBiz Jacopo On Mon, May 30, 2016 at 1:55 PM, Pierre Smits <[hidden email]> wrote: > I believe we have. If you have the font, capitalization will be easy.
But just in case the font is lost, I made some try on Open Font : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5BwTaGcWGtNcGxQel9kQmxvM28/view?usp=sharing Another subject is the TM (for trademark) could it be used with a new logo simply or is there something to do to be able to associate it to the new logo ? Hi Julien
There should be no problem using the TM logo for the new OFBiz logo. OFBiz is one of the ASF trademarks so any logo we create and use to promote our product also form part of that trademark. We are also in the process of registering OFBiz as a registred trademark which means that at some point the TM will need to change to an 'R' in a circle. Thanks Sharan |
