When I use MRP to generate requirements and turn them into a purchase order, I do not see a receive in actions for that P.O.
If I go to receive inventory in facility and select the P.O I do not see any items? I can manually enter a P.O. and receive it using actions in P.O., or in facility. Just trying to understand if this a Jirra thing, or something I am not doing correct. I have a custom P.O. module and I can turn on receive in action (I am only using one hard coded wharehouse, so I did not need the list which is what was causing the issue as to why there was no option for quick recieve). But I just pulled the latest 12 release and loaded demo and duplicated the issue, so I thought I would ask if any one else has the same issue. If so I can do a Jirra.

Joel,
PO created and then stays in "Created status unless you move it into approved status. Please check the PO you have created and if is in Created status, move it to Approved status. If I am not wrong, you will be see receive options at that point. I did approve the P.O.
It works fine if I hand enter a P.O. If I do it by entering a min qty and using MRP to generate requirements it appears to work ok until I have a approved P.O. I do not see the quick receive or receive. I debugged it and it does not have a list of warehouses. On my custom app in hot deploy I removed the drop down as I only have one facility, and I commented out the validation and I can do a quick receive and it appears to work. Since this is an issue with the last release, I thought I would see if any other folks had the same issue using the current 12 release with a P.O. generated from requirements. If so I can enter a Jirra.

There's a store level setting that states "One Inventory Facility", see
what value is set there, if you've only one facility set it to Y, things get a lot easier that way. Thank you. I do have that set to 1 facility (was by default from the seed data I created/copied).
I do not believe this impacts receiving a P.O. I believe there is some issue with a P.O. created from requirements, or perhaps more specifically from MRP requirements. I will try doing a hand entered requirement as a test to verify. I can probably look to see what value is missing, causing the issue, but I will do that in the Jirra. My guess is it would impact anyone, but I wanted to ensure it was not specific to my data (customized seed), or something else I may have done to my environment. Although when I tested I used standard demo data and was able to duplicate the issue. I first noticed this issue when I working through an example (believe it was hot wax). It took you step through step and when I got to it I did not have receive buttons. At the time I just went into facility and manually received the stuff, but I had to create a shipment. That was a few months ago. I noticed again now that I did a custom P.O. GUI. It is not an issue for me as I was able to change the validation and it seems to receive OK, but out of the box it seems broke.

Do you have the Manufacturing book from Sharan?
If not, it might help you because corner cases, quirks and bugs are covered in her book HTH Jacques Le 17/09/2014 14:56, [hidden email] a écrit : > Thank you. I do have the book, and have read it.
I did not recall seeing the bugs part, so I will review again. Thanks so much for the idea.

I looked in the book, but do not see anything specific about bugs.
I have read through the requirements (she does not go into it from a purchased stuff perspective, but was very thorough in discussing from a building items perspective). All I am asking is if some one can confirm the issue, and I will write it up as Jirra. Just set a min qty on a finished good that is purchased, and has a supplier set up. run MRP to get requirements on it (assuming you dont have the min qty in stock) go into order and approve/create P.O. and see if you get a receive button. If I hear that some one else can re-create the issue, I will write up a jirra. I even know how I fixed it in my page and can reference that. Maybe I should not bring this kind of thing to this list? Just want to ensure it is actually an issue, and this is the proper place to discuss prior to writing it up. Joel
