I created a customer - (role is customer)
I created a 'New Security Group' - Test_Group Added permission - [OFBTOOLS_VIEW] & [PARTYMGR_ADMIN] Added the above created customer in the user logins tab. I logged out of admin and was successfully able to login as the above created customer and able to access partymagr component. I can do the same operations even though the person has no roles. My question is what does the role 'Customer' used for? Are there any permissions associated with the roles? If yes, where do I find them? Is there any mapping b/w the role and permission group? |

put in roles on top line you will get a lot of info. here is a simple way I look at them
Security says what you can see. Roles define what you can do after you are able to see. I went thru the link and gave a find for roles... I found too many links below... How will i find or which one will give me the mapping to role and permission group?

buy going thru the widgets you will see roles used pick one.
you can also do the same for security and see the entities used. the only mapping is in the login for a party there is no documentation the specifically shows roles used where Balaji Sundar sent the following on 7/30/2008 1:44 AM: > > I went thru the link and gave a find for roles... > I found too many links below... > How will i find or > which one will give me the mapping to role and permission group? > > > jacques.le.roux wrote: >> From: "BJ Freeman" <[hidden email]> >>> here is a simple way I look at them >>> Security says what you can see. >> I'd say you can access >> >> Jacques >> >>> Roles define what you can do after you are able to see. >>> >>> >>> BJ Freeman sent the following on 7/30/2008 12:09 AM: >>>> https://demo.hotwaxmedia.com/webtools/control/ArtifactInfo >>>> put in roles on top line >>>> you will get a lot of info. >>>> >>>> Balaji Sundar sent the following on 7/29/2008 10:12 PM: >>>>> I created a customer - (role is customer) >>>>> I created a 'New Security Group' - Test_Group >>>>> Added permission - [OFBTOOLS_VIEW] & [PARTYMGR_ADMIN] >>>>> Added the above created customer in the user logins tab. >>>>> I logged out of admin and was successfully able to login as the above >>>>> created customer and able to access partymagr component. >>>>> >>>>> >>>>> I can do the same operations even though the person has no roles. >>>>> >>>>> My question is what does the role 'Customer' used for? >>>>> >>>>> Are there any permissions associated with the roles?
