the error shows up when I try to run the code done in part I. This is
the java console:

You broke the screen handler
Message: No handler found for type: screen

Not sure how you did that, it's normally in common-controller.xml (also in ecommerce controller, the others you can neglect)
<handler name="screen" type="view" class="org.ofbiz.widget.screen.MacroScreenViewHandler"/>

Re: Message: No handler found for type: screen

Michael Gawrychowski
Jacques, thank you for your response. I will look into it. I noticed that
it ran with no errors when I changed the handler to this in the
controller.xml:

<handler name="screenxml" type="view"
class="org.ofbiz.widget.screen.ScreenXmlViewHandler"/>

In reply to this post by Jacques Le Roux
Jacques, it looks like the common-controller.xml file located under
framework/common/webcommon already has a line with: <handler name="screen"
type="view" class="org.ofbiz.widget.screen.MacroScreenViewHandler"/>

Before changing things around you need to understand what you are doing, or is this part of the tuto?

Re: Message: No handler found for type: screen

Michael Gawrychowski
Hi Jacques, I was not changing anything. I'm going through the tutorial and
it looks like it works when I remove the line with: <handler name="screen"
type="view" class="org.ofbiz.widget.screen.MacroScreenViewHandler"/> at
all. I guess it uses the default one defined somewhere earlier in the code.
