Hey folks,
Just wanted to share my experience for anyone in the market for a first DTF printer. I recently went through the whole rabbit hole of researching machines, reading reviews, and second-guessing myself. Like many others, I initially had my eye on the DTF PRO Fusion J, but I hesitated after seeing some not-so-great reviews—mainly about customer service and reliability.
A lot of the negative stuff I found was from over a year ago, so I figured I’d take a chance and see if things had improved. Spoiler: I’m glad I did.
I’ve been using the Fusion J for a few months now. It definitely takes some getting used to—like daily maintenance, understanding film types, curing temps, etc.—but once I got past that early learning curve, it’s been a smooth experience. The print quality has been solid, and it's handled small batch jobs for my shop really well.
Support? Honestly, not perfect, but not terrible either. I’ve had a couple questions about ICC profiles and cleaning routines and got responses within 24–48 hours. Could be faster, but I’ve seen way worse from other brands in this price range.
What I really liked was that I could get the printer and starter supplies without blowing past my $6k budget. I ordered directly from here:

If anyone’s looking for a starter DTF setup and doesn’t mind putting in a bit of hands-on time, I think it’s worth considering. Just know that no DTF printer is 100% plug-and-play—there’s always some effort involved. But it beats outsourcing, and I’ve already made back a good chunk of the investment through custom orders.
