Hi community
I have been working with Ofbiz for a while now and eventually managed to launch a site for a very supportive client - albeit a very important one in the context of Research in South Africa. My client is a major funder of research in the country and I recommended that they use Ofbiz for the online Emerging Researchers Network website. You can check it out at http://ern.nrf.ac.za. Please provide some feedback if you can - I know most of you are extremely busy - but be gentle. Some details of the implementation: Os: Linux Ubuntu; Httpd: Apache2; Ofbiz modules: Content; WorkEffort (Calendar and Project); Parties etc. We have not implemented ecommerce or other major ERP functionalities at this stage and might never - but Content is the one that counts here. I have developed customised applications for featured articles (based on OOT blogs) and some other stuff. database: MySql 5.1; Thanks to all the people that responded to my annoying requests over the last six months. Please provide feedback - it's a work in progress. Regards Gavin |

Gavin, One quick note: you can (and probably should) remove the "Copyright ... The Apache Software Foundation..." line. That copyright would represent the content of the page, which is clearly not owned by the ASF. It is in the OOTB templates, though I've wondered if we shouldn't remove it since any deployment, other than perhaps the demo instances, should have it removed as content coming from the DB/etc would not be under that copyright. -David On May 23, 2011, at 1:47 AM, Gavin Mabie wrote: > Hi community > > > > I have been working with Ofbiz for a while now and eventually managed to > launch a site for a very supportive client - albeit a very important one in > the context of Research in South Africa. Hi Gavin,
Thanks I have rather put your "Ofbiz Content Manager Rocks" page into the lain page and remove your page. I have also cleaned things a bit there (notably Nick Rosser participation) You might want to put the site in https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/Apache+OFBiz+User+List if you get a chance Jacques From: "Jacques Le Roux" <[hidden email]> > Hi Gavin, > > Just a quick answer for now.
