Newer Version of Ofbiz

Brendan Vogt
Hi,

I am looking to implement my website soon, but I need to know when the newer
version of Ofbiz will be released.  I don't want to implement my website and
then the newer version is released the next week.

The newer version, will it look like the latest download of the current
version, or is there lots of new stuff?

The release4.0 is almost frozen and should not change much now. Anyway it's only bug fixes that are going there, no new features or
such. So changes are very tiny and localised

I am running ver 4.0 in production.
working on bugs mostly.
SVN trunk has new features and not considered stable IMHO.
I suggest you subscribe to the commit ML then you can add commits to ver
4.0 if you understand the effects it will have.

The production site, uses Yahoo as the Webstore (front end) and Ofbiz as
the order processing system.
the orders come from Yahoo in real-time, and are put in the cart thru
custom code.
Ofbiz with more custom code then takes the PO generated by ofbiz and
sends it to dropship suppliers, thru email, Websites, Ftp.

The system also uses a modified version of the Order entry so the yahoo
gateway information is used.

Sorry don't have a demo up yet. Hopefully after Christmas.
