Notes about publishing a release Was: [ANNOUNCE] Apache OFBiz 13.07.01 released

Jacopo Cappellato-4
Ok,
I have removed the old notes and updated the information in the old page:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBADMIN/Release+Plan
and I have moved my new section to a new page:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBADMIN/Release+Management+Guide+for+OFBiz

Re: Notes about publishing a release Was: [ANNOUNCE] Apache OFBiz 13.07.01 released

Pierre Smits
Jacopo,

Thank you! This will surely help others to be able to produce release
packages in a uniform and consistent way.

It seems that you forgot to mention that prior to step 4 some kind of
clean-up needs to be done, namely:

   - perform a ./ant clean-all to remove built jar files in every
   component,  and cach, log and data files in the runtime folder;
   - perform a clean-up to remove all hidden files in .svn folders
   everywhere.

The above two steps will ensure that the package is as clean and as compact
as possible.

Regards,

Pierre Smits

Re: Notes about publishing a release Was: [ANNOUNCE] Apache OFBiz 13.07.01 released

Jacopo Cappellato-4
Pierre,

thanks for the review; however the steps you mention are not required since
in my notes the earlier step is:
"export the release branch"
When you do an svn export you will get a clean (no build related artifacts
and no .svn subfolders) copy of the source tree.
