Hi,
What is the OFBiz size of thw whole app more or less? I am downloading, it's taken me almost an hour, it's still downloading. I can't remember it downloading this long, and it's over 200MB big so far. If I can remember then it was in the region of 40MB? Brendan |
when you download the svn (trunk or branch) there is a lot of overhead
files that are not part of ofbiz but part of the svn. depending on you connection speed I have had it take 20 min on a 2mbps connection. not sure if the properties on a xp machine sees the .svn folders or not but it shows 224mb 22,925 files 10,230 folders Brendan Vogt sent the following on 12/8/2007 1:39 AM: > Hi, > > > > What is the OFBiz size of thw whole app more or less? Mine shows 205MB, should I worry about the difference in size, I mean yours
is 18MB big. When I do an upload to the server, does the size reduce which I need to upload? I mean 200MB+ for a web app is huge. -----Original Message----- From: BJ Freeman [mailto:[hidden email]] Sent: Saturday, December 08, 2007 11:52 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: OFBiz Size when you download the svn (trunk or branch) there is a lot of overhead files that are not part of ofbiz but part of the svn. depending on you connection speed I have had it take 20 min on a 2mbps connection. not sure if the properties on a xp machine sees the .svn folders or not but it shows 224mb 22,925 files 10,230 folders Brendan Vogt sent the following on 12/8/2007 1:39 AM: > Hi, > > > > What is the OFBiz size of thw whole app more or less? as I said you are pulling down svn files which have noting todo with the
actual ofbiz code but the versioning, so you can do updates. What server are you referring to? lets get through you having it run on your computer first. you will know when you build and run ofbiz if everything is there. Yes I have it running. What I meant was uploading it to the host server at
a hosting company. Obviously when I do an upload I do not want unnecessary files. But I will ask about this when I am ready, which will be in the next 2 weeks. once you become familiar with ofbiz you can create just the files
necessary to upload. Brendan Vogt sent the following on 12/8/2007 10:16 AM: > Yes I have it running. What I meant was uploading it to the host server at > a hosting company. Use "svn export" then. Have a look at http://svnbook.red-bean.com/
