[OFBiz] Users - Re: Users Digest, Vol 13, Issue 50

Rohit Rai

Hello Jacopo,

How something put in Jira will be available to the wide public community, apart from the developers? As far as I know every thing there is not included in the release. The things that are not ready can be maintained on a different server and incorporated in Ofbiz when complete.

Like just as Andrew suggests incorporating everything in "Supply Chain Management - Frazelle". This can be started as a seperate project and then incorporated in Ofbiz when its complete. So when included in Ofbiz it's really ready for production use.

Rohit,

Regarding the Frazelle stuff, I believe this is the correct place for
that to be discussed, I think that this sort of data analysis would have
to remain part of the trunk. It would rely on so much of the OfBiz
infrastructure that maintaining it separately would be as big a job as
writing the code - if not bigger!

If I understand David's intentions correctly this type of feature could
best be described as a "meta-feature" - i.e. there would be no hard
coded reports rather collection of meta-data instructing an integrated
OfBiz reporting infrastructure - you can see why this would be
impossible to maintain separately.
