Let's begin listing a few things. I'll begin with it and may be people go on adding what they would like to see on Ofbiz.
1. For me this discussion began from changing the look & feel of Ofbiz, or you can call customizing it. It is very important part of implementation at the end user location and we cannot put a developer to it. It is always advantageous to have a web designer work on the designs. So I think Ofbiz has to be themeable.
2. The user interface should leverage the latest developments and be as interactive as possible. I have seen Netsuite in action and the interface is mesmerising with Dashboard, drop down menus and a very clean layout.
3. The UI should be totally seperable from the backend and should also be replaceable(My thought! No flames on that please.) I don't know whether it suites the Architecture of Ofbiz. If not David, Andrew or Si, please drop it and repost it.
4. The Ofbiz CMS should be flexible & I think it should be standard compliant too.
I hope we will be able to formulate a complete list of requirements soon so that we can begin with its benefit evaluation.
