I realize that this may be a tedious question to answer but I have been unable to locate it any other places, so I'm posting it here.
When I install OFBiz eCommerce, what exact features will I have access to out-of-the-box? The organization for which I work is currently researching new eCommerce platforms to migrate away from our current platform (Yahoo! Small Business [yuck]) and it is difficult to find a concrete list describing all of OFBiz's features. I understand that OFBiz has both eCommerce and ERP functionality (as well as being a framework for developing custom features) but what exactly does that translate to in terms of concrete features?
One of the main features we are looking at is shopper personalization. Specifically, the ability to use the customer's browsing habits to intelligently suggest products and navigation selections. The web seems to be trending towards more dynamic and personalized shopping experiences. And, although we have access to a development team, we are trying to find the eCommerce platform which will provide as much functionality out-of-the-box as possible to reduce the need for customized code.
