OfBiz pages not displaying in IE

hi all,
i have just started learning OfBiz using the tutorials available at http://www.opensourcestrategies.com/ofbiz/tutorials.php.
and i was trying to build a simple 'Hello World' application.
however OfBiz pages are not displayed in IE at all(url could not be retrieved error) and even in Mozilla,they take a very
long time.
could someone please guide me on this?

There is no known issue with displaying pages in IE (IE6). IE does have a
page display timeout while firefox (and may be mozilla) doesn't. You must
have some other problem causing the pages to take too long to display.
