hi
I have a permanent problem according orders status. When for example a package or product has been shipped , the status of order in the CRM is already completed and also when the package has been delivered it is the same . How can i plan the status sent of orders? I have never seen a staus sent in my CRM module. Thanks |
When all the items of an order are issued to shipments and invoiced
the order is marked "completed" You can track the status of shipments using the shipments' statuses; you can track the status of payments using the invoices' statuses Jacopo On Jul 23, 2008, at 9:39 AM, ladroge wrote: > > hi > > I have a permanent problem according orders status. > When for example a package or product has been shipped , the status > of order > in the CRM is already completed and also when the package has been > delivered it is the same . > How can i plan the status sent of orders? > I have never seen a staus sent in my CRM module. > > Thanks > -- > View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Order-status-tp18605511p18605511.html > Sent from the OFBiz - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > smime.p7s (3K) Download Attachment |

Does it mean that there is no status sent?
How can i obtain this status ? I know that there is a list of different status when you want to find an order.(created, sent, processing, approved, held, completed, undeliverable, rejected, cancelled) But in reality i have only the status created, approved, cancelled and completed. How can i have the others status?????

And consider re-phrasing (re-stating) the question as well. I asked me the same question...
In the CRM module, when you search order, a status named "sent" is present in the list of available status. I thought that it was the final state, but final status seems to be "completed". I have never seen an order in the state "Sent". I don't know if this status is used... Has someone already seen an order in this state? |
Someone can make clear the orders status in ofbiz?
Someone can give the process which change order status and how to go from created to approved and approved to processing and processing to sent and sent to completed !!!!!!!!!!!!!

order status is not a static thing.
in other words there is code that automatically changes statuses based on conditions. the looking at the entity StatusValidChange https://demo.hotwaxmedia.com/webtools/control/FindGeneric?entityName=StatusValidChange&find=true&VIEW_SIZE=50&VIEW_INDEX=0 will give you an idea. if you use https://demo.hotwaxmedia.com/webtools/control/ArtifactInfo and type in Status you will see what uses this you will get a lot that are not orders. if you follow the services in code you will see what does what. ladroge sent the following on 7/23/2008 12:39 AM: > hi > > I have a permanent problem according orders status. > When for example a package or product has been shipped , the status of order > in the CRM is already completed and also when the package has been > delivered it is the same . > How can i plan the status sent of orders? > I have never seen a staus sent in my CRM module. > > Thanks |
If you put ORDER_APPROVED
in the statusId you will see all the ways an order status can go what makes it go that way depends on the operation. Hi,
From EditProductStore(catalog) you can configure your store to have different statuses for approval, declining, cancellation. Here you can make settings for automatic approval on order/invoice creation From searchorders(ordermgr) you can manipulate order statuses of many orders at once. The services for this are defined in OrderServices.java-massChangedApproved,massCancelOrders etc. All of them use setOrderStatus, setItemStatus services. Status changes: 1.created-approved - you can set your store to automatically approve your orders. - from orderview screen you can approve your order manually(once it is created) 2.approved-processing - you can use searchorders(ordermgr) to switch to this status. - you could add your own button in orderview screen and use setOrderStatus(and related services) 3.processing-sent - step1 as Bj said add record in StatusValidChange - step2 in findorders.ftl(ordermgr) add and make your own defined massSentOrder service(you could use mass* services implementation as reference). This approach is good if you like to control statuses many orders at once. You can use 2.2 as well for step 2. 4.sent-complete -Use 2.2 if necessary. Also i think on shipping and invoicing orders get complete On Wed, 2008-07-23 at 05:43 -0700, ladroge wrote: > Someone can make clear the orders status in ofbiz? > Someone can give the process which change order status and how to go from > created to approved and approved to processing and processing to sent and > sent to completed !!!!!!!!!!!!! > > yann_ing wrote: > > > > I asked me the same question... :-) > > > > In the CRM module, when you search order, a status named "sent" is present > > in the list of available status. > > I thought that it was the final state, but final status seems to be > > "completed". Hi Valentina,
This is an interesting answer, could you please put it (amended if needed) in the FAQ Wiki page ? http://docs.ofbiz.org/display/OFBIZ/FAQ+-+Tips+-+Tricks+-+Cookbook+-+HowTo Thanks Jacques From: "Valentina Sirkova" <[hidden email]> > Hi, > From EditProductStore(catalog) you can configure your store to have > different statuses for approval, declining, cancellation. Yes, I might consider adding it(after a good edit) when I get more time. I think I'm the last who worked on that when commiting a patch proposed by Leon (see OrderListState.java)
At this moment the ORDER_SENT status was already present. Actually it dates from the pre-Apache era. It seems useless even if it's checked here and there (very few). I think this checkboxe could be removed and even the status. It will not be a big deal to do. No legacy reasons to prevent ? I use this.
it is a hold position till the tracking is received from the shipper. Not sure that is enough to keep it here. Sorry if I am bumping this old message, but I figured this would be the most appropriate way, since most of my questions have already been answered here...
I just wanted to clarify the process once and for all: Step 1. User creates the Order --> ORDER_CREATED Step 2. User pays the darn money (using paypal) --> ORDER_APPROVED Step 3. Warehouse sets order_status to ORDER_PROCESSING System generates Shipping information --> Shipping is set to INPUT Step 4. Warehouse sends the stati in the following order: picking, packing, shipped, delivered Step 5. If all parameters are set: System sets ORDER_STATUS TO COMPLETE ---- Step 6: User creates OrderReturn, specifying which items of which order are sent to which warehouse. Step 7 through ...: Warehouse returns return stati as needed. if that is correct, then I think the only thing I am missing out right now is the invoice setup. My problem is, that the warehouse is trying to set the ORDER_STATUS to Complete and create a return afterwards, which generates an error, as the order_shipping stati haven't been set correctly in our case and an invoice isn't generated either. Can I easily run through the stati using Secas? If so, which parameters would I need to set automatically to create the order_shipment stati in order and the invoices once the warehouse sends me the status order_processing...`? |
