OrderItemShipGroupAssoc.lineName field worth a JIRA?

Christian Carlow-OFBizzer
Is adding a field like OrderItemShipGroupAssoc.lineName to track
customers-assign order item schedule names worth a JIRA?

Could you please elaborate what exactly is <<track customers-assign order item schedule names>>?

Hey Jacques,

Sorry, it was late when asked.  I'm referring to cases when a customer
submits an order they create offline with their own order, item, and
item schedule names.

For example, a company might submit an order named "po1" for an item
with 3 schedules named "0801", "0802", "0803".  The customer expects the
schedule names to appear for each shipment for their own internal
tracking.  In this case the orderItemSeqId and shipGroupSeqId are
inadequate for representing the item schedule to them.

That could maybe be useful to others if it's documented in at least the data model (description of the field and its reason to be)

Pierre Smits
Given that it might be a useful improvement to the feature set of OFBiz it
is worth a JIRA of the type wish/improvement. You decide.

Best regards,

Pierre Smits
