Pack Backordered quantity

I placed an order for 1000 quantity of an item and have 500 in the inventory. Order is created with a backorder of 500 quantity.
I ship 500 qty that was available in the inventory. Now for shipping the remaining quantity,I receive inventory and new Inventory Item is created. But, when i go to Packing and try to ship, i get an error because the reservation was for the previous inventoryItem and not the one i just created. How can i pack the remaining quantity?

Ideally when the inventory item is received it clears out the negative
reservation and re-reserve the orders. Check what is the total atp of that
product. Is it positive or negative

Total atp gets positive but a new inventory item is created. But i feel the reservation is not changed to the new inventory created, due to which it gives error when i try to ship the remaining quantity.

When inventory is received for a product, then at that time it should be checked if there is any reservation against that product. So, reservation should be moved to the newly created inventory. Is it a bug in ofbiz?

Could be possible that newly created inventory was reserved for another
order, did you check detail screen for newly received item?
What's the OFBiz version you're using?
